Gulfstream Park Training Schedule

May 29, 2026
Adam Lazarus, FHBPA Vice President

To all Horsemen:

The recent decision to closethe track early at 9:00 on Mondays, then changed to Sundays, has brought muchconfusion, anger, and frustration on the backside. After a lengthydiscussion with Tom, it is our recommendation that we revert to the status quothis Sunday with one small change. Training will stop at 9:30 sharp, whichallows for the 2nd break and will give the Tapeta trainers anextra 15 minutes. The single break leaves too many horses vulnerable whengalloping and breezing late, and the welfare of the horses comes first.

Monday’s training willcontinue to be on dirt only and will be closed on Tuesdays to allow 1 ½ days ofmaintenance each week until we start Monday racing in mid-July. Weunderstand that it is impossible to make everyone happy, and we will appreciateeveryone's patience going forward. We will advise the track regarding thisadjustment.

Regards
